Hello ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to another jailbreak tweak review brought to you by the TechKon community and the great developer, Akhil Tolani a.k.a SaltB0x. Today, we will be taking a look at another awesome tweak called Imperium.
I am sure all of us know that the app switcher in iOS has very limited features that only allows us to navigate left and right to multitask between each app. However, wouldn’t it be great if we could integrate the likes of the Mac style of multitasking and choosing apps which are mission control and launchpad into iOS and replacing the default app switcher? Well, now we can with Imperium.
Imperium was inspired by the likes of Mission Control and Launchpad and looks to be a complete replacement to iOS’ app switcher. If you think you are a big app switcher user, then consider checking our full review to see how well Imperium works and whether or not it would help you in your daily lives.
Imperium does not only implement switching between apps but it only features the ability for one to toggle settings that I am sure we all use in our everyday lives such as adjusting the brightness and volume, toggle bluetooth or wifi etc. It also comes with app shortcuts that one can use to easily tweet, take a quick photo, make a quick search with safari, compose a quick mail, search up song lyrics for a “now playing” song, and toggle your power settings – power off, respiring, safe mode etc. Imperium also comes with the ability for one to browse through all the apps that he/she has on their iOS device just like in launchpad on the Mac. With that in mind, one can easily bookmark four different apps under the list of apps. Finally, phew…that is a lot of stuff, Imperium has a pre-set music player that comes with the the album cover, title of the album and song, and some default controls such as rewind, play/pause, and forward.
Imperium also uses activator actions to suit your liking therefore you will be able to choose which way you want to launch Imperium itself. Whether it would be to double tap on the status bar or double click the home button would be entirely up to you. We prefer the double click of the home button as it is definitely an app switcher replacement.
Guess what? You can get all these features for only $0.99 on the BigBoss repo.
Tell us what you think about this tweak and whether or not you will be purchasing this yourself.
